California Dental Support Center is funded through an Indian Health Service grant to serve 35 health programs (105 Tribes), which operate 58 dental clinics, in the state of California. 

 Grant Period – September 1, 2006 through August 31, 2010 

 

Our Mission

"Reduce dental decay in infants, toddlers, and children. Provide training, technical assistance, and resources to tribal and urban dental clinics operating in California."

Program Goals

  • Clinic based initiatives to prevent caries in infants and toddlers
  • Community based initiatives to enhance prevention among preschool Children   
  • Provide education and training for Dental Professionals in tribal health programs

    US settles royalty dispute with Indian tribes

    The Obama administration says it will spend more than $3 billion to settle a long-running and contentious lawsuit over royalties owed to American Indians.  President Barack Obama hailed the settlement of the case, known as Cobell v.
