(CRIHB), sanctioned by Tribal governments, is committed to the development of policies and services which will elevate, to the highest possible level, the health and social conditions of Native Americans in rural California. CRIHB accomplishes these goals through means of Program Development, Legislation and Advocacy, Financial Resource Development, Training, Technical Assistance, Shared Services, Benefits and Consensus Building. In order to meet its responsibilities, the Administration Department is the key for the facilitation of all activities within the CRIHB organization. The basis which CRIHB has most advanced the cause of Native Americans, has been the advocacy of legislation which has over time evolved into a full-time endeavor. Through passage of new 638 contracting legislation and legislation addressing the chronic under funding of California Tribal Health Programs, CRIHB has empowered Native Americans in the determination of their own destiny.
